A new weapons deal worth 1.5 billion shekels was signed by the Israeli Ministry of Defense with Elbayt ammunition systems company to establish a weapons factory in Israel. The aim is to ensure a stable supply of materials for the army during ongoing and future operations.
Last week, another contract worth $220 million was announced with Elbayt Systems Company to supply precision-guided mortar shells. Additionally, a contract worth $190 million was awarded to supply guided mortar shells with the Iron Sting model.
The Times of Israel reported the Ministry emphasizing the importance of maintaining a steady supply of vital ammunition for military readiness and longevity. This latest deal underlines Israel’s commitment to bolstering its defense capabilities and enhancing its military preparedness.
