Following an Israeli strike in Beirut, Hezbollah is still searching for the body of a top commander, Fouad Shukur.
The strike resulted in the death of Shukur while another Israeli strike in Tehran killed Haniyeh, prompting Hezbollah’s first comment on the incident.
Israel alleges that Shukur was responsible for a rocket attack on Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights, causing the death of 12 youths.
Hezbollah reported that civil defense workers are actively searching for the bodies of Shukur and others under the rubble left by the Israeli strike.
Shukur, also known as Sayed Mohsen, has a mysterious background with Washington accusing him of orchestrating the 1983 Beirut Marine Corps barracks bombing.
The attack in Beirut resulted in the deaths of at least two children and a woman, while 74 others were wounded according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
