The Punjab Government Steps Up Efforts to Combat Terrorism
In a bold move, the Punjab government has announced an increase in bounties on wanted terrorists, marking a significant escalation in the fight against terrorism. This decision comes after years of deliberation and is part of the country’s intensified efforts to bring terrorists and criminals to justice.
The Punjab Home Department has called on citizens to support law enforcement agencies in their mission to eradicate terrorism. In addition to increasing bounties, the government has officially declared the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as “Fitna al-Khawarij” and has banned two more militant groups, bringing the total number of proscribed organizations to 81.
This decisive action underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens. By implementing these measures, the Punjab government is sending a clear message that terrorism will not be tolerated in any form.
