Defense Ministry buying Ukrainian-made unmanned ground vehicles

Ukraine’s Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) has recently signed an agreement with a domestic manufacturer for ground-based kamikaze drones, marking a significant step in modernizing their defense strategy. These drones have become crucial for the Ukrainian forces in their conflict with Russia, allowing them to strike key enemy targets effectively.

Deputy Defense Minister Dmytro Klimenkov emphasized the importance of these drones in defeating the enemy, highlighting their strategic value. Additionally, the DPA has also secured an agreement for the supply of ammunition, showcasing the country’s commitment to strengthening its defense capabilities.

Despite having the production capacity for drones, Ukraine relies on foreign financing to meet its requirements. The country has witnessed a substantial increase in drone acquisition, with Ukrainian soldiers receiving six times more drones than the previous year.

This development underscores Ukraine’s determination to enhance its military capabilities and defend its sovereignty. The ongoing conflict has spurred significant advancements in drone technology, reshaping modern warfare dynamics.\
