Karnataka Assembly opposition leader R Ashoka is calling out Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to return from his Delhi trip and inspect the flood situation in the state. Ashoka visited flood-hit areas in Bantwal and criticized the CM for not prioritizing the needs of the affected people while being away in Delhi handling state ‘scams’.
He questioned the absence of district in-charge ministers in reviewing the flood situation and pointed out the hypocrisy of Congress leaders who protested against BJP’s compensation amount for flood victims but are now offering a lower amount themselves.
Ashoka also addressed the cooperation between BJP and JD(S) in the upcoming padayatra against Congress, emphasizing the need to address agricultural losses due to floods. He assured that the MUDA scam will not be ignored until the applicants receive their sites.
