Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and U.S. Special Representative Penny Pritzker met to discuss vital issues such as investment raising, training programs for Ukrainians, and the use of frozen Russian assets. The meeting also included key figures such as Ambassador Bridget Brink, and CEOs from various American companies.

Svyrydenko emphasized the importance of economic self-sufficiency and highlighted the progress made so far. Discussions revolved around enhancing UkraineInvest, collaboration in nuclear energy and defense sectors, and increasing cooperation between American and Ukrainian businesses. U.S. companies shared their ongoing ventures in Ukraine, like Westinghouse’s nuclear power plant project and Amentum’s joint venture with Ukrainian Defense Industry.

The meeting also addressed facilitating the return of Ukrainians who fled the country due to war, through training programs, grant assistance, and affordable housing initiatives. Ukrainian officials expressed interest in expanding the eOselia mortgage program with the support of the United States International Development Finance Corporation.

Penny Pritzker highlighted the need for customs reform and tackling grey markets to boost revenues. The discussions reflect a strong partnership between Ukraine and the U.S. on key economic matters.
