Russia issues stern warning to Pentagon on Ukraine

Russia issues a stern warning to the Pentagon over the situation in Ukraine, highlighting the risk of uncontrollable escalation. Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov expressed concerns to Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin about potential provocations from Kyiv with the support of Washington, emphasizing the need to prevent further dangerous escalation.

“The Russian side sent a very serious warning regarding possible new provocations on the part of Kyiv that are inconceivable without direct assistance from Washington. This warning [was] made in order to avoid the danger of further escalation fraught with consequences that may turn out to be completely uncontrollable,” said Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.

Recent discussions between Russian and U.S. officials on Ukraine have revealed tensions and suspicions, with accusations of covert operations and denials. The ongoing dialogue aims to prevent further escalation and establish communication channels to address the conflict effectively.
