Iran is in mourning today for the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Palestinian Resistance, as shared by President Pezeshkian on social media.
Pezeshkian expressed his determination to carry on Haniyeh’s mission, strengthening the bonds between Iran and Palestine, and continuing the path of resistance and defense of the oppressed.
He affirmed Iran’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and honor against terrorist actions, quoting from the Holy Quran to emphasize the strength and justice of Allah.
Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were tragically assassinated in Tehran, where he had been attending President Pezeshkian’s inauguration ceremony.
Despite this loss, Pezeshkian’s resolve remains unwavering, echoing the sentiment that the struggle for justice and freedom will only grow stronger in the face of adversity.
