When Netanyahu mattered, his speeches often led to wars, or major regional instability. But Netanyahu no longer matters, except for a few US politicians vying for re-election.
In a recent speech before the US Congress, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s desperation and defeat were evident. Once considered a prophet, Netanyahu now faces dwindling approval and mounting criticism for his failed policies and inaccurate readings of history.
Formerly celebrated, Netanyahu’s grandiose displays now fall flat. As his influence wanes, even staunch allies like former US Speaker Nancy Pelosi criticize his misleading rhetoric. The once-revered leader is now seen as a false prophet, his theories collapsing as reality sets in.
Despite applause in Congress, Netanyahu’s speech did little to salvage his tarnished reputation. As support fades, Netanyahu’s legacy teeters on the brink of irrelevance, marking the downfall of a leader who once held great sway in regional politics.
