Two Palestinian Journalists Killed in Israeli Bombing in Gaza
Ismail al-Ghoul and Rami al-Rifi were targeted and killed by Israeli forces while on duty in Gaza.
Palestinian journalist Ismail al-Ghoul and his cameraman Rami al-Rifi were killed in an Israeli bombing targeted at them in their car near the destroyed home of Ismail Haniyeh in the Shati refugee camp. The journalists were responding to a request to evacuate the site when their car was bombed.
The killings bring the total number of journalists killed since October to 165, prompting international condemnation and calls for an end to violence against media professionals in Gaza.
Israel’s ongoing offensive in Gaza has resulted in thousands of casualties and an acute famine, leading to mass displacement of civilians.
The International Criminal Court has been urged to investigate the war crimes being committed in Gaza, as the death toll continues to rise.
