The Israeli military has confirmed the assassination of top Hezbollah leader, Fuad Shukr, known as “Hajj Mohsen,” in a targeted attack in Beirut, Lebanon. Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced the operation, stating that Shukr was Hezbollah’s top military commander and aide to its secretary-general, Hassan Nasrallah.
Describing the operation as a precise liquidation, Hagari explained that Israeli warplanes raided Beirut based on intelligence received from the Military Intelligence Service to eliminate Shukr, who was responsible for Hezbollah’s advanced combat means, including precision missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.
Meanwhile, a rocket attack on the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights killed 12 people, with 34 others injured. The Israeli government accused Hezbollah of launching the attack, but the group denies involvement.
