Iran Condemns Beirut Attack by Israel, Calls for International Action
Iran has strongly condemned the recent attack by Israel on a residential building in Beirut, Lebanon, which resulted in the death of three people and injuries to over 70 others. The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that this attack was a blatant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and international laws. The ministry also expressed support for Lebanon’s right to defend itself against such aggression.
In addition to the attack in Beirut, there was also an assassination attempt against Fuad Shukr, a high-ranking military figure in Hezbollah. Despite the violence, Hezbollah has denied any involvement in the tensions with Israel.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported casualties from the attack, including two children. As the search for missing persons continues, videos have emerged showing calls for retaliation and support for Hezbollah.
Iran has called on the international community and the United Nations Security Council to take action against Israel’s threats to Lebanon’s security and regional stability. The spokesman extended condolences to the victims’ families and pledged solidarity with Lebanon in the face of continued aggression.
