Group reacts to court ruling on Lagos protest parks.

The Take It Back Movement has criticized the Lagos State Government’s recent court ruling restricting protesters to specific locations within the state. They believe this judgment is an abuse of judicial privilege and infringes on citizens’ freedom of association.

The Coordinator of the movement in Lagos, Adekunle Taofeek, stated that the government should bear the cost of transporting protesters from various designated areas in the state to the approved venues by the court. The designated convergence points include Alausa Secretariat, Lekki Toll Gates, Ikorodu Bus Park, Okota Link Bridge, LASU Campus gates, Iyana Ipaja Underbridge, and Agege Pen Cinema.

Furthermore, Taofeek warned that if the government fails to provide buses for transportation, protesters will march daily to the court and designated parks in the city. He also mentioned that rallies and processions will be held throughout the #EndBadGovernance actions.

The movement is standing firm in their quest for justice and accountability, urging the government to reconsider their approach to handling the protests.
