Exciting News for Pakistan: Petroleum Prices Set to Decrease from August 1!
Good news for motorists and consumers in Pakistan as global oil prices fall, leading to an anticipated reduction in petroleum product prices starting from August 1. According to sources, petrol prices may see a decrease of up to Rs5.50 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) could drop by Rs11 per litre.
Additionally, kerosene and light diesel oil prices are expected to go down by Rs5.84 and Rs5 per litre, respectively. The final rates will be confirmed today after receiving approval from the prime minister.
This decrease comes after consecutive price hikes in June and July. However, between May and June, prices had significantly dropped, providing some relief to consumers. The government has also increased the maximum limit of petroleum levy to Rs70 per litre in the current Finance Bill.
