Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) faces the loss of the first tranche of funds from the Growth Plan due to political blame-shifting. In a recent interview, Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konakovic highlighted the need for unity to avoid a negative image in Brussels and secure European understanding. Despite challenges, there is still hope for catching up by demonstrating seriousness and adapting to Europe’s expectations.
Konakovic addressed issues such as opposition to the Reform Plan, film workers’ complaints, and the importance of supporting cultural workers. He emphasized the need for greater transparency and accountability in government actions and legislation.
Regarding police cooperation with Serbia, Konakovic expressed concerns about respecting BiH’s sovereignty and called for a unified approach at the state level. He emphasized the importance of mutual respect between Bosnia and Serbia for a successful partnership.
Through open dialogue and collaboration, BiH aims to overcome obstacles and secure funding for growth and development. By demonstrating commitment to reforms and European integration, the country can work towards a brighter future.
