Leaked emails expose ‘civil war’ at CIA regime change cut-out – RT World News

The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) was rocked by a humiliating interview that resulted in the firing of two senior officials and exposed deep divisions within the organization. The controversy stemmed from a phone call between NED vice-president Leslie Aun and journalists from The Grayzone, where Aun’s responses left much to be desired.

Documents obtained by The Grayzone revealed a power struggle between old neoconservative members and new “woke” management, leading to the dismissal of Aun and another senior official, Michael Allen. The fallout from the interview was described as a “civil war” within the NED.

The leaked emails also highlighted conflicts within the organization over issues like diversity training, LGBTQIA+ initiatives, and support for Palestinian causes. Allen, who was fired in December, claimed his dismissal was partly due to the NED’s mishandling of the Grayzone affair.

Aun, who also faced termination, received a significant settlement for “sex discrimination.” The incident shed light on the NED’s controversial origins and its ties to the CIA, exposing internal strife and raising questions about the organization’s future.\
