New Delhi: After the tragic incident at the Old Rajinder Nagar coaching centre where three IAS aspirants lost their lives due to flooding, Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar has directed the central district magistrate to investigate the cause and hold those responsible accountable, as per a report submitted to Revenue Minister Atishi.
The delay in the submission of the magisterial inquiry report had been flagged earlier in the day, leading to an urgent request for its submission by 10 pm.
The interim report provided by the additional chief secretary revealed that necessary action has been taken against the officials responsible for maintaining the drainage system in the area where the incident occurred.
Atishi has expressed concern over the delay in the investigation and urged for prompt action to be taken against those liable for the tragedy. The Chief Secretary has been directed to expedite the investigation and submit the report promptly to ensure justice for the victims.
