Alumni gift alma mater with computer lab — The Guardian Nigeria News

In a heartwarming gesture, the 1974 set of Ilesa Grammar School Old Students’ Association recently donated a state-of-the-art computer laboratory to their alma mater. The lab consists of 25 desktop computers, Internet access, relevant software, and a generating set, aiming to equip the current students for the digital age.

Graduating 50 years ago, the old students, now successful professionals and industry leaders, established the ‘Club ’74’ to commemorate their golden jubilee. They emphasized the importance of giving back to the school that laid the foundation for their achievements and called for increased funding in the education sector.

Notable speakers at the event highlighted the need for collective efforts in ensuring quality education by both government and private entities. The association’s initiative to empower the next generation with essential tools for success was widely appreciated by the school’s administration.

It serves as a reminder of the impact alumni can make in shaping the future of education and inspiring positive change in society.
