Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s unwavering commitment to fighting global injustice was highlighted by the country’s communications director, Fahrettin Altun, in response to defamatory remarks made by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz.
Altun condemned the Israeli government’s actions in Palestine, labeling them as participating in an “ongoing genocide.” He criticized Netanyahu’s administration for demonstrating genocidal intentions and urged Tel Aviv to recognize Palestinian sovereignty for lasting peace.
Emphasizing Turkey’s dedication to regional peace and stability, Altun warned against challenging the country’s resolve. He stated that Turkey will respond swiftly to any threats and will not tolerate being lectured or threatened.
Israel’s continued offensive in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has led to over 39,360 Palestinian deaths and 90,900 injuries, mostly women and children. The International Court of Justice has accused Israel of genocide and ordered an immediate halt to military operations in Rafah.
