The Spanish media have extensively covered the return of six Spanish survivors from the sinking of the Argos Georgia in the South Atlantic. They have reunited with their families after a tragic shipwreck that claimed the lives of nine mariners, with four still missing.

An Air Force Airbus A330-202 chartered by the Spanish government transported the survivors from Mount Pleasant to Galicia, where they were met by their loved ones. The survivors were accompanied by a medical rescue unit during the flight.

In Santiago de Compostela, four Galician mariners were reunited with their families, while the remaining two were taken to Madrid. The survivors were received in a private gathering at the airport with the presence of national and regional authorities.

Rescue operations for the four missing individuals, including two Galicians, have resumed following a storm that led to the tragic events.
