Hostage Family Receives Cold Shoulder from Netanyahu
Orna and Ronen Neutra, parents of hostage Omer in Gaza, expressed disappointment in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s response during their recent meetings. They felt a lack of warmth compared to the reception they received from U.S. President Joe Biden. The Neutras emphasized the urgent need for a hostage release deal, criticizing Netanyahu’s hollow promises.
Despite Biden’s reassurance of doing everything possible to bring the hostages home, the Neutras believe Netanyahu is causing a delay for political reasons. They highlighted the inaction and lack of empathy towards their son’s situation. The couple also criticized National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s handling of the hostage crisis, calling his behavior a contradiction to Jewish values.
Concerns about a potential war in Lebanon further exacerbating the situation were also raised. The Neutras emphasized the importance of ending the conflict and bringing the hostages home before addressing other challenges. Overall, they expressed disbelief at the government’s failure to prioritize the safe return of their loved ones.
