Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Delays Evacuation of Injured Children in Gaza

Sputnik International

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has postponed the evacuation of over 150 injured Palestinian children from Gaza to the United Arab Emirates. The decision came after an explosion in the Golan Heights, which Israel blames on Hezbollah.

Last week, Netanyahu planned to transfer patients from Gaza to a third country but halted the process due to the Golan Heights incident. The area has been occupied by Israel since 1967 and annexed in 1981, condemned by the UN Security Council.

The initial evacuation decision was prompted by a petition from Physicians for Human Rights – Israel. The group criticized Netanyahu’s reversal, calling it a cruel game with children’s lives.

Netanyahu’s actions have sparked outrage, with thousands of children already dead in Gaza. Calls for an independent investigation and accountability for those responsible have grown louder.
