Former South African President Jacob Zuma is not taking his recent expulsion from the ANC lightly. In a statement, his foundation mentioned that he will be consulting his legal team to determine the next steps to ensure justice prevails. Zuma also has the option to appeal the ruling within 21 days.
The National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) believes that Zuma’s expulsion will give him time to reflect on his actions, seek counseling, and possibly return to the ANC in the future. This decision comes after Zuma was found guilty of several charges, including bringing the party into disrepute.
Many speculate that Zuma’s expulsion could lead to the formation of his own political party, following in the footsteps of another expelled member, Ace Magashule, who formed ACT. Zuma’s influence in KwaZulu-Natal is seen as a significant threat to the ANC, as the party’s support has dwindled in the region.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding Zuma’s future, one thing is clear – he is not going down without a fight.
