Maduro declared victor in Venezuelan presidential race – Yemen Press Agency

Venezuelan President Maduro Wins Re-election with 51.2% of Votes

After processing 80% of the protocols, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has secured victory in the presidential election with 51.2% of the votes, announced Elvis Amoroso, the chairman of the National Electoral Council. With a voter turnout of 59%, Maduro received 5,150,092 votes, while his closest rival Edmundo González got 4,445,978 votes.

The Venezuelan government expressed concerns about interference by foreign countries, emphasizing the citizens’ right to self-determination. Despite calls for a transparent vote count by various nations, President Maduro’s victory was not recognized by Argentine President Javier Milei.

This re-election marks Maduro’s third consecutive term, with his inauguration scheduled for January 10, 2025, serving a six-year term.
