The US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina has once again called out authorities in the Republika Srpska entity for giving public money to companies connected to Milorad Dodik. The embassy pointed out that the Dodik family received preferential treatment, incentives, contracts, and tenders from the RS government and institutions, potentially denying opportunities to legitimate companies and their workers.
In a series of social media posts, the embassy repeatedly questioned, “Where is the money?” highlighting concerns over transparency and accountability. This public scrutiny comes after previous criticisms were directed at doing business with sanctioned individuals and companies.
Additionally, the embassy raised concerns about the 1.1 billion BAM borrowed by the Government of the RS on the Banja Luka stock exchange, calling on authorities in Banja Luka to provide clarity on the matter. This ongoing dialogue underscores the embassy’s commitment to promoting good governance and ethical business practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
