Israeli Airstrikes in Lebanon: Two Dead, Three Injured
Two people were killed and three injured in Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon. Air raid sirens were also sounded in Western Galilee as a drone was intercepted. The Civil Defense in southern Lebanon reported casualties in the town of Shaqra. The Lebanese National News Agency confirmed injuries in Mays al-Jabal. Israeli forces also targeted a house in Markaba without causing casualties and raided Rab Thalathin. Lebanese Middle East Airlines delayed return flights to Beirut.
Lebanon reaffirmed commitment to UN Security Council Resolution 1701 amidst rising tensions. Hezbollah’s involvement in the conflict has resulted in multiple military operations. Israel’s continued occupation of parts of Lebanon, particularly the Sheeba Farms region, remains a point of contention.
Hezbollah vows to reclaim all occupied Lebanese territories, denouncing Israeli aggression.
