Israel orders $220M worth of mortar shells amid Gaza conflict

Israel recently signed a significant order worth over $220 million to purchase precision-guided mortar shells known as the “Iron Sting” from defense company Elbit Systems. These advanced munitions are set to enhance the capabilities of the IDF’s ground forces, with sophisticated laser and GPS guidance systems for precise targeting and minimal collateral damage.
