A former governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) in Lagos State, Funsho Doherty, has officially defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a bid to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
Doherty’s decision to join the PDP was motivated by his desire to offer a strong and credible alternative to the current governance model in Lagos, which he believes has failed to provide essential services and address pressing issues like public water supply, power, education, healthcare, housing, and transportation. He emphasized the need for effective, inclusive, and accountable governance for the people of Lagos.
Recognizing the challenges ahead, Doherty expressed his commitment to working with others within the PDP to navigate and overcome internal differences for the greater good. He urged the people of Lagos to join him in creating a new era of inclusive governance and prosperity for the state.
