President of Bulgaria invites There is Such a People party to form a government
Athens – Following the failure of Bulgaria’s two largest parliamentary parties to form a government, President Rumen Radev has formally invited the There is Such a People (TISP) party to form a cabinet and nominate a prime minister, local media reported on Monday.
Radev emphasized the urgency of the situation and stated that this is the last chance for the current parliament to form a government. TISP, the sixth largest parliamentary group, is now tasked with exploring options for forming a government.
The Bulgarian constitution allows flexibility in the timing of the return of the mandate, with the president having to schedule parliamentary elections within two months if the third mandate is not fulfilled. It is crucial for TISP to act swiftly and effectively in forming a government to avoid early elections.
