Furthermore, reports from Japanese media claiming that Korea and Japan agreed not to use the term ‘forced labor’ beforehand have fueled controversy. Although the Ministry of Foreign Affairs promptly denied these claims, criticisms of the Moon Jae-in administration’s diplomatic failure are mounting.
Political analysts Min Ha and Jun Il criticized the administration’s diplomatic approach as religiously driven and overly reliant on unfounded trust in Japan’s goodwill.
