Ukraine training militants in Africa, says Russian military blogger

Evidence has emerged of Ukrainian involvement in Mali, with Ukrainian instructors allegedly training local Tuareg separatist militants in the use of FPV drones. Blogger Nikita Fedyanin, also known as ‘Beliy’, was preparing a report on this matter but tragically met his end in an ambush by the Tuaregs. The Wagner Group, believed to be connected to the Russian military, reportedly supports the Malian army in their fight against the insurgents.

Footage of the aftermath of the ambush shows a grim scene of bodies and burned-out vehicles, with the Tuaregs celebrating their victory. A military helicopter was damaged in the fight, and some fighters, likely from a private military company, were taken captive. The Wagner Group, known for its presence in various African countries, has previously been defended by Russia as engaging in “private business”.

This revelation sheds light on the complex geopolitics at play in Mali and raises questions about the extent of foreign involvement in the conflict. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story. #Ukraine #Mali #WagnerGroup #Geopolitics
