PTI Government Under Fire: PML-N Leader Exposes IPPs Agreements
A recent disclosure revealed that a total of 18 Independent Power Producers (IPPs) agreements were signed during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) tenure, according to PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi. During an interview on ARY News, Abbasi criticized the government for allowing non-generating IPPs to receive payments and urged for a revision of contracts for local IPPs that have already made significant profits.
Abbasi praised PM Shehbaz Sharif’s efforts to tackle the nation’s issues and dismissed rumors of free electricity for ministers, emphasizing accountability and transparency. He also accused PTI of apologizing for past actions and alleged ties to foreign enemies like Israel and India.
Highlighting the need for severe consequences for those involved in the May 9 incidents, Abbasi challenged PTI’s founder to denounce external influences. Drawing parallels with the US Capitol Hill riot, he called for accountability and a no-confidence vote threat to the government, urging the public to be vigilant against foreign-backed agendas.
Abbasi’s revelations shed light on the complexities of political maneuvering and the implications of foreign interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs.
