In a recent interview with a private news channel, Federal Minister Musadik Malik emphasized the need for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) to demonstrate a genuine willingness to engage in serious political dialogue. He stated that PTI must adhere to democratic norms if they truly intend to participate in meaningful discussions.
Musadik Malik highlighted the government’s efforts to initiate dialogues with PTI on multiple occasions, with invitations being consistently rejected by the opposition party. He also mentioned the ongoing dialogue with Jamaat-e-Islami, emphasizing the importance of peaceful protest within the democratic framework.
Furthermore, the Minister addressed concerns about potential actions against PTI, noting that the constitution provides guidelines on issues like embezzlement and foreign funding. He also touched on the recent electricity crisis, mentioning the allocation of funds by the Prime Minister to provide relief to 86 percent of households.
As the government remains committed to serving the people and completing its constitutional term, it is crucial for all political parties to engage in constructive dialogue for the betterment of Pakistan’s democracy.
