New Delhi witnessed a crucial meeting as Prime Minister Narendra Modi gathered with senior party leaders and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states to accelerate India’s journey towards becoming a $5 trillion economy. The focus was on expanding the coverage of welfare schemes and sharing innovative initiatives implemented by different state governments.

Presentations from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam, showcasing a unique recruitment drive, and Gujarat’s scheme to boost solar energy production were highlights of the session, attended by 13 CMs and 15 deputy CMs. This gathering, following the Lok Sabha elections, also sets the tone for upcoming state elections in Maharashtra, Haryana, and Jharkhand.

Notably, the meeting marked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s first appearance after a review meet in UP, emphasizing the need for better coordination within the state government and party leadership. Union ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, along with BJP national president JP Nadda, were among the attendees, addressing key strategies for a unified approach.

Highlighted by discussions on boosting the economy, welfare schemes, and leadership dynamics, the meeting showcased a harmonized effort towards national development.
