Moscow Car Bomb Suspect Extradited, Planned to Flee to Ukraine.

A Russian man suspected of detonating a car bomb in Moscow has been extradited from Turkey, announced Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) on Friday. Yevgeny N. Serebryakov, born in 1995, was apprehended in Bodrum, Turkey, and brought to Russia on July 26 with the collaboration of various law enforcement agencies. He is accused of causing an explosion at a parking lot in northern Moscow, injuring two individuals. The victims, allegedly a senior defense ministry official and his wife, deny being in the car during the incident.

According to the video released by Russia’s Investigative Committee, Serebryakov confessed to planting the explosive device under the instructions of an unknown man from Ukraine. He had plans to obtain a Ukrainian passport in Bodrum and escape to Ukraine. However, Kyiv has denied any involvement in the car explosion. Serebryakov is facing charges of attempted murder and illegal trafficking of explosives.

The arrest and extradition of Serebryakov mark a significant development in the investigation of the Moscow car bombing incident.
