The Rivers State Police Command announced that Governor Siminalayi Fubara has honored the N100m bounty on notorious cult leader Gift Okpara, also known as 2Baba, who was responsible for killing Divisional Police Officer Superintendent Bako Angbashin in the Oduemude area. Commissioner of Police Olatunji Disu confirmed this at a recent parade.

During a raid in the Idu-Ekpeye community, police successfully neutralized 2Baba, recovering his body in the Ibrass forest. Commissioner Disu extended gratitude to the Governor and the Inspector General of Police for their support. Angbashin’s heroic actions in previous operations were highlighted, including his role in arresting Boboski and combating cultism in Bori.

Angbashin was tasked with capturing 2Baba and was close to achieving it when he tragically lost his life. However, the command successfully recovered his remains, which were received by his elder brother, Dogo, who acknowledged his brother’s service to the nation as a dedicated police officer.
