Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) leader Liaquat Baloch announced the government’s formation of a technical committee to address power and tax hike issues. The ongoing sit-in at Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh will continue until demands are met.

Baloch stated the party’s agenda was for the people’s benefit. Tarar confirmed the technical committee’s formation and ordered the release of 35 prisoners. Rehman emphasized the issues of power and tax hikes were nationwide concerns.
JI supporters from various regions joined the protest, demanding relief from inflation. JI urged the government for the immediate release of detained protesters. The protests faced arrests and opposition, as the party continued its demonstrations.
