Businesses warn of nationwide strike due in 80 days

In a recent development, the central president of All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran has announced that the business community is prepared to go on strike and initiate a nationwide shutdown if their demands are not met promptly. This declaration was made during Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in on Murree Road in Rawalpindi against the escalating electricity bills.

Ajmal Baloch, representing All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran, criticized the current government, labeling it as the worst in history and accusing it of crippling businesses in the country. Despite promises of providing 300 free units of electricity, the government has instead imposed additional taxes on the citizens.

Baloch extended his support to the protestors enduring the blistering heat and announced the anticipated arrival of Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman in Islamabad, whom he pledged to welcome and follow in the ongoing protests. He emphasized the need for the government to acknowledge its poor performance and step down, a sentiment echoed by many within the government itself.
