Former President Donald Trump recently held a rally in Minnesota, where he took the opportunity to criticize President Joe Biden, even though Biden is no longer his 2024 opponent. Trump mocked Biden’s golf game, cognitive ability, and performance, also targeting his son Hunter and calling Biden names. He transitioned to attack Vice President Kamala Harris, depicting her as a “radical left lunatic.”
The rally had echoes of Trump’s campaign events before an assassination attempt and the start of Harris’ campaign. Despite facing significant challenges, Trump remains unchanged, expressing frustration at the incompetence he sees daily. The Trump campaign also criticized Democrats and painted Harris as complicit in various issues.
Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance, joined in, labeling Harris as “whacky” and “out-of-touch.” In response, the Harris campaign blasted Trump as a “bitter, unhinged, 78-year-old convicted felon.” A recent New York Times/Siena poll showed Trump and Harris in a close race among likely voters.
