Russia Seizes Another Village in East Ukraine

Russia announced the capture of the village of Lozuvatske in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region, as its forces advance towards Pokrovsk. The Defense ministry of Russia stated that their troops “liberated” the village, situated near the occupied town of Ocheretnye. However, Ukraine has not confirmed this capture.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces reported stopping 37 Russian attacks in the Pokrovsk area, with intense fighting near Novooleksandrivka. Ukraine’s foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, expressed willingness to negotiate with Russia if the talks are conducted in good faith.

In the face of ongoing challenges, The Moscow Times continues its independent journalism despite being labeled as “undesirable” and a “foreign agent” by Russian authorities. To support their work and defend open journalism, readers are encouraged to contribute monthly starting from $2.
