A tragic incident occurred on Queensland’s Fraser Coast region as a man passed away during an arrest. Emergency services responded to a welfare check on Alice Street in Maryborough and encountered a man in his 30s displaying erratic behavior. Despite efforts to restrain him, the man had to be medically sedated and transported to an ambulance.
Tragically, the man experienced a medical emergency and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The circumstances surrounding his death are currently under investigation by the Ethical Standards Command with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission.
