The recent N12 survey results reveal that while the Israeli public prefers Benjamin Netanyahu as Prime Minister, they do not trust his intentions. Netanyahu outperforms his main rivals in head-to-head comparisons, garnering more support than Lapid, Gantz, and Bennett.
Polls at the beginning of the month indicated that a unified anti-Netanyahu right-wing party could potentially surpass Likud. The survey also showed that a majority of respondents favored a hostage deal over a “total victory” in the Israel-Hamas War.
In regards to Netanyahu’s recent trip to Washington and his speech at the US Congress, opinions were divided among Israelis. While some felt pride, others expressed disappointment. However, the speech had little impact on changing the public’s opinion of Netanyahu.
There is also a split in perceptions about Netanyahu’s intentions for the trip, with some believing it was to promote his own political interests and others thinking it was to serve the interests of Israel. Many Israelis are in favor of him cutting the trip short.
