Tragedy Strikes as Children and Women Among those Killed in Israeli Attack on School

More than 50 people lost their lives in central and southern Gaza due to Israeli attacks, including an airstrike on Khadija School, where displaced individuals sought shelter, reported Palestinian officials.

The assault on Khadija School in Deir el-Balah resulted in at least 30 casualties, as per the Palestinian Health Ministry. Shockingly, among the deceased were fifteen children and eight women, with over 100 individuals sustaining injuries.

Israeli military claimed the school harbored a “Hamas command and control center” and served as a launching pad for attacks on troops. Allegedly, civilians were forewarned before the strike.

‘Chaos’ at Al-Aqsa Hospital

Following the attack on Khadija School, Al-Aqsa Hospital witnessed a flurry of ambulances transporting wounded Palestinians. Journalist Tareq Abu Azzoum described scenes of pandemonium as medical staff struggled to attend to critical injuries.

Hamas denounced the act as a violation of human values, urging international intervention to halt the atrocities. The assault in Deir el-Balah came amidst similar strikes in Khan Younis, intensifying the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
