Israeli Airstrike on Gaza School Kills Dozens, Sparks International Outcry

Tragedy struck Gaza as at least 30 Palestinians, including 15 children and eight women, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a school serving as a shelter for displaced people in Deir al-Balah. The attack left over 100 injured, stirring condemnation from the European Union and Ireland.

International Response

The EU’s Josep Borrell called for a ceasefire, emphasizing respect for International Humanitarian Law and the need for a political solution to end the violence. Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris labeled the strike as “brutal and unconscionable,” demanding an immediate halt to the conflict.

Evacuation Order in Khan Younis

Meanwhile, the IDF issued an evacuation order to Palestinian civilians in Khan Younis, citing increased terrorist activity in the area. Authorities stressed the need for evacuation to protect civilians as the military prepares for further operations.

The ongoing conflict, which began after Hamas attacked southern Israel, has led to significant civilian casualties and displacement. With no end in sight, global pressure mounts for a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
