The Foreign Ministry of Iran is pleased with the recent agreements in Yemen that aim to alleviate economic pressures and improve the living conditions of the Yemeni people. The Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, recently announced agreements on the resumption of flights from Sana’a airport and the settlement of banking and monetary issues in Yemen. This move is seen as a step towards establishing peace and stability in the war-torn country.
Iran, known for its policy of supporting dialogue to resolve regional conflicts, hopes for a swift and lasting peace agreement in Yemen. Grundberg, in a statement on July 23, highlighted the role of Saudi Arabia in facilitating the agreements between the Government of Yemen and Ansarullah. The UN envoy outlined plans to cancel all recent decisions against Yemeni banks, resume flights by Yemenia Airways, increase the number of daily flights, and address economic and humanitarian issues through discussions between the Yemeni parties.
