Balochistan CM vows to depoliticize police and ensure citizen protection
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has declared the complete depoliticisation of the police and levies force to safeguard citizens and uphold the law throughout the province. He emphasized appointing police officers on merit and prohibiting political interference in police affairs.
Bugti highlighted the government’s commitment to equip police with modern tools to enhance crime prevention efforts. He urged the IG Police to conduct operations against organized crime and ensure security on national highways. Bugti also addressed the challenges of terrorism in the province, emphasizing the need to combat anti-state elements.
The CM announced a designated protest area in Quetta and warned against disrupting public activities that can hinder development projects like CPEC. He emphasized the need for a peaceful and prosperous Balochistan, pledging to maintain law and order while upholding citizens’ right to protest within constitutional boundaries.
