At least 30 Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli strike on a school sheltering displaced people in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central part of the Gaza Strip.

Gaza’s Health Ministry and the Government Media Office in the besieged enclave said on Saturday that the attack on Khadija school also wounded more than 100 people.

Ambulances rushed the wounded to al-Aqsa Hospital in the city, while some of the injured arrived on foot, with their clothes stained with blood.

In a statement, Hamas condemned the attack on Khadija school, calling it a “massacre” and urging the international community to intervene.

Gaza schools have been transformed into shelters for displaced Palestinians due to ongoing Israeli aggression in the region.

Since the start of the offensive, thousands of Palestinians have been killed or injured by Israeli forces.

The cycle of violence continues in Gaza, with innocent civilians bearing the brunt of the conflict.
