Ukraine faced 122 combat engagements with Russian forces on Friday, as reported by the General Staff in a war situation update on Saturday morning. The Russians launched 80 airstrikes, including the use of missiles and 117 glide bombs, targeting both Ukrainian military positions and civilians.
Overall, Ukraine recorded 4,636 shelling attacks from the Russians, with 71 involving multiple rocket launchers. The Russians targeted various regions across Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and more.
In response, Ukrainian combat aircraft, missile, and artillery forces launched strikes on areas with Russian troop concentrations. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled Russian assaults in multiple sectors, including Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman, Siversk, Kramatorsk, and Toretsk.
Despite the intense engagements, there were no signs of a Russian offensive in certain sectors, according to the General Staff. However, on the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russian forces maintained a military presence and continued shelling populated areas.
