Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, urges Nigerian youth to utilize the N110 billion Youth Investment Fund instead of participating in potential nationwide protests. She emphasizes the government’s dedication to launching targeted employment programs to address unemployment.
During a meeting with SSAs on Youth Development, Ibrahim highlighted the upcoming accessibility of the Fund’s portal, aiming to provide vital support to young entrepreneurs facing financial difficulties. She emphasized the need for peace and stability to realize the administration’s youth-focused initiatives.
The Minister lauded the administration for achieving milestones such as the youth quota for government appointments, youth enterprise clusters, minimum wage increase, and initiatives to support vulnerable families. She also mentioned plans to resume local refinery production and improve transportation infrastructure.
Additionally, a National Student Management Council will represent Nigerian students at state levels, collaborating with governments and agencies to address student concerns. The Ministry’s programs aim to tackle unemployment and empower youth to contribute to the economy.
