The Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre emphasized the importance of safeguarding cultural heritage, especially in the face of recent aggression that has led to the loss of many lives and the destruction of vital infrastructure in Gaza Strip.
The inscripting of the Saint Hilarion Monastery on the List of World Heritage in Danger serves as a reminder of the need to preserve our shared history and heritage, even in the midst of conflict and turmoil.
